SFYTT - April

OMG, it's been so long since I posted. Whew, I'm so glad to be back. :) I"m, glad, too, that I was able to finish my card in time for the April SFYTT challenge. I love Jen's sketches and have been trying to play along all year.

Note: updated photo (better light)

This month's sponsor is Unity. I only have one Unity set, which I used to stamp the stems for my flowers. (Sorry - I bought this set used and have no idea what it is called.) I really wanted to use this floral paper from My Minds Eye on my card. None of the flowers in the stamp set matched my paper, so I used some Primas that better mimicked the paper.

I'm off to battle my allergies (ugh!!). I'll be back tomorrow with the May release from DigiStamp Boutique. If you love kitties, you'll love the May release. :)

Fab Friday for the Frantic

Peter Cottontail will soon be hopping down that bunny trail. If you haven't had time to make your Easter cards yet, check out some digital options.

Sally-Ann has a cute new Easter collection available at the DigiStamp Boutique shop.

(And, yes, the card on the DigiStamp site is one from yours truly!)
I'm also a big fan of one of last year's releases, Spring Coco and friends.

If you're looking for religious Easter images, try TAC's Digi Design House: Easter images. TAC's own Mabelle Ramirez-Ortiz also has some cute Easter images in her Etsy shop, Whimsy and Stars Studio.

Time for me to hop off to bed! I'm serving Easter dinner for 12 on Sunday and I still have a lot of cleaning and cooking to do.

Worth Dye-ing For!

Tonight was time for that annual family ritual - the dyeing of the Easter eggs! Even DH joined in on the fun, but of course, my kids had the most fun. (And were the most creative!) Here's our collective efforts:

Now, since this IS a Wednesday, I wanted to be sure to include something that featured a stamp or other product from The Angel Company. In the spirit of Easter, I hid this one a bit.... :)

Here he is - the cute little bunny from the "I Love Easter" set:

I stamped him onto some sticker paper with Versafine, dried the image a bit with my heat gun and then cut him out. Ta-da! A custom Easter sticker. :)

I'm hopping off to bed now. See you soon with another Easter project!

Flower Girl

A quick post tonight since I had to work late today and have to be at work early tomorrow. (7 AM meetings should simply be illegal!)

Normally, this girl from the Fall Harvest set makes me think of, well, Fall. But I thought she would also look cute in pink & blue along with this Lily Anna paper. (Apologies for the photo - I had to use flash since I didn't get to photograph this before dark. Blech.)

A DSB Wedding

I'm back with my weekly DigiStamp Boutique card. This features the adorable Bella and Oscar Get Wed and is based on this week's sketch (#213) from the Card Positioning Systems blog.

The red and cream paper is some older (discontinued) Stampin' Up paper. I like how the circular pattern  mimics the designs of Bella's rose bouquet.

See you another day or two with another new card!

Fab Friday

A while ago, I ran across a terrific tutorial for combining digital images. Check it out:
Creating a Scene

And for some great tips on recoloring digital images, check out this tutorial:
Modern Flowers
(Although this tutorial uses Page Plus, you could achieve similar effects with Photo Shop or whatever picture editing software you own.)

I'll be back soon with another card!

I'm ba-ack!

Good news: Spring has finally arrived!
Bad news: Spring allergies have also arrived!

Ugh, I have spent the past 3 days feeling miserable! It was a really busy time at work so no time to take a day off and rest up, either. So, I am way, way behind on stamping (nevermind blogging), but I finally have a card for you today. Forget my usual schedule. I'm just glad to have something to post today.

In honor of spring (which I do love despite the accompanying pollen), I created a card featuring this cute Spike with flower from DigiStamp Boutique. At least Spike can enjoy smelling the flowers. :)

I even took advantage of the beautiful spring weather and took my photos outside on my deck. :)

I have been "collecting" challenges and hope to back with another challenge card soon!
