Sweet Sketch Wednesday - #16

It's that time - here's this week's sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

I have two cards based on this sketch. For my first card, I used this cute Bella from my image swap stash:

Here's my second card, using a digital stamp from our sponsor, Dustin Pike.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - #13

It's Wednesday, so it's time for another Sweet Sketch challenge!

I really enjoyed working with this week's sketch! It's perfect for those slightly larger images which don't always work with sketches with a lot of smaller components. Here's my card:

This sweet little fairy is a Stamping Bella image that I received in an image swap. The card base is made from PTI cardstock (one of the colors in the variety pack). I'm trying hard to use more of my paper scraps, so I took the opportunity to use a lot of scraps in my favorite color - PINK! :)

Go on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to check out the other design team members' cards. We look forward to your entry in this week's challenge! :)

Birthday Wishes - Really!

OK, I'll admit it - this is an unusual image for a birthday card! However, it's for my friend Karyn who is a nurse. I think she'll like it. We've been friends since we were NINE - can you believe it? (And, no, I won't say how many birthdays ago that was. Just know that it is a lot!! lol)

I got this cute little Tiddlyinks image from a Stamping Bella image swap. Isn't she the sweetest?

A Shower of Bellas!

A customer recently asked for some shower cards. I knew these Bella images that I received in a swap would make the perfect cards!

A wedding shower card featuring Bella and her wedding party:

I love this shopping pregnant Bella. Now there's a woman who knows how to make every occasion a shopping trip! :)

FYI - These cards were colored in Prismacolor pencils and a Prismacolor pencil. They show that you can get some nice Copic-like shading even with pencils.

Ketto Cuteness

Here's my card for Mojo Monday sketch challenge #89:

Here's a close up:

I was trying (unsuccessfully) to get the glitter to show up in the photo. I used my Sakura glue pen (LOVE that thing!) to add some aqua ultrafine glitter to the petals on the flowers in her hand and hair. This photos shows the colors of the rhinestones better, too. They are all bright pink and match the paper very well in person.

This card features another adorable Ketto from Stamping Bella, Suzette Ketto. I just love all the Kettos! Expect to see more Kettos and Bellas on my blog in the coming days as I celebrate my "reign" as the June Featureabella on the Southern Bella blog. Southern Bella is a club for Bella lovers brought to you by Funkie Munkie Scraps. a great little store in Greer, SC. How do I know it's a great store? Because the wonderfully talented Katie Cotton (owner of Papermakeup stamps) teaches there! :-)

Speaking of Katie, she is a listmate of mine on the Stamplicious yahoogroup. If you are a stamp lover who enjoys all kinds of stamps, sign up and join us for all kinds of stamping fun! There are lots of great stampers on the list!

Welcome Spring!

Hooray! Spring arrives later today (around noon, I think). This week's Bellarific Challenge required the use of shades of orange and green. I thought Bikinibella and her surfin' Fella were up to the challenge of welcoming the warmer weather!

Supplies: Bikinibella and Fella by Stamping Bella, Ashville Scrap Strip 1 paper by Scenice Route Paper, Prima flowers, brads, Copic and Tombow markers.

Bellarifiic!

Em, owner of Stamping Bella, hosts Weekly Bellarific challenges on the Stamping Bella blog, Bloggabella. This week's challenge required at least one button and some combinations of colors in this photo:

Here's a sketch I made when I was planning my card:

I love this little curly haired girl that Em has added to the Stamping Bella lineup. I don't own any stamps with this little girl yet, but I received a stamped image in an image swap. I had a lot of fun using it!

Supplies: Ivory cardstock (TAC), patterned paper (SU!), oval Shape Maker (CM), Copic & Tombow markers, heart shaped brads, red/black/light blue cardstock, heart-shaped buttons.

Helping our Four Legged Friends

Stamp credit: Dogwalkabella by Stamping Bella

This card is dedicated to two very ambitious and hardworking young girls, Amanda and Libby. Through their efforts, our entire city has become involved in a shelter makeover contest on ZooToo. Our local shelter, the Central Missouri Humane Society, is in desperate need of bigger, updated facilities to handle the thousands of animals that pass through their doors every year. Here's a recent interview with the girls that aired on a local radio station:

If you'd like to help, please email me at lisajtmo@yahoo.com and I will send you an invitation to join. Your acceptance is an automatic 50 points for CMHS! On behalf of all my furry friends at CMHS, thanks!

BIA & a Bella

Ali has been having trouble getting ready on time in the morning lately. (It's a good thing for her we have two schoolbus routes that go through our neighborhood!) She does better when she has a to do list to follow so I made her this little notepad with my Bind It All:

Parisabella is Ali's favorite Bella. She is awfully cute. :)

More Valentines Cuties

Another card made with "Kissieface" from Stamping Bella:

This was my submission to the February Homepage Contest on the Bellaholics list. I just love any excuse to make a pink card. :-)

Speaking of romantic love, here's a cute song I heard tonight:

It's called "Myspace Girl" by "The Afters". It's sweet. :-)
