Charisma Card Contest

Now, try to say that 3 times fast! ;-)

I bought this stamp from Rubbernecker a few months ago but hadn't made a card with it yet. So, it seemed fitting to use it for this week's "anything goes" challenge on Charisma Cards, as Rubbernecker is the sponsor (and the prize!) for this challenge.

Purple seemed the logical choice for this image, so I used a base made from my favorite Plum Pudding cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I am trying to put more of my scraps to use, so I chose accent paper from my collection of scraps. The ribbon accent is something I learned about on the MFT boards on SplitCoastStampers. (There is a weekly technique tutorial and this one was on using buttons on your cards.) I love how this accent looks and it's a great way to use up small bits of ribbon! I colored in my image with Copics and then smudged some blue chalk with a Q-tip to add some color to the sky background.

Two Challenges

Diana and I are hitting the road tomorrow to check out the St. Louis stores, so I'm posting my cards tonight for two challenges that are due tomorrow.

First up is the Lilac and Blue challenge over on the Colour Create Challenge blog. The extra (optional) requirement was to include ribbon and swirls. If you look closely you'll see a swirl along the bottom of the piece of printed paper.

The printed paper (A Little Whimsy) and stamp *Mice Day" are both from TAC.

Next up is my card for the challenge on The Corrosive Challenge Blog. It's a new blog run by a listmate on a Stamping Bella group, so go check it out! This challenge required a Christmas card with an animal on it. I just received this cute kitty from Rubbernecker - perfect!

It's hard to see, but I put some Icicle Stickles on the Christmas lights so that the image wasn't overpowered by the glitter paper from DCWV.

Have a Mice Birthday!

Rubbernecker Stamp Company's Wacky Wednesday Challenge #2 calls for a card with any kind of fold other than the usual single fold card. I bought this Cupcake Mice stamp from Rubbernecker last Fall and it seemed perfect for a gatefold style card.

Supplies: Cupcake Mice (Stamp Oasis), printed paper from Target, Creative Memories small circle Shapemaker punch, COPIC markers, ribbon from Michaels, glitter (Mikes or HL - not sure), Jesse James heart buttons, pop-dots, pink cardstock, "from the heart" stamp (retired TAC).
