Welcome Baby George!

Like a lot of people on both sides of the pond, I waited anxiously last week for the arrival of William and Kate's baby.  I just had to make a card to celebrate the occasion using Bathtime Bobbi from the June release over at DigiStamp Boutique.

Congratulations William and Kate! Can't wait to see some more pictures of the new baby.

Totally Papercrafts - Use Proper Lace

This week's challenge from Totally Papercrafts is to use actual lace (not just a lacy punch or border). We are sponsored by the beautiful Saturated Canary, so I chose this very feminine image - Cerridwen.

Supplies: Cerridwen (Saturated Canary), floral dp -Grow & Blossom (MME),
Aqua Lagoon pearlescent cardstock (Paper and More),
fancy oval die (Nestabilities), lace ribbon (Stampin' Up!),
and Copics

Be sure to stop by the Totally Papercrafts blog to see the other DT members' lacy creations. And then join us in this week's challenge for a chance to win some beautiful digis of your own from Saturated Canary!

Tennis Ace!

I'm here today with a belated shout out to Andy Murray for his Wimbleton win! I know my friends in the UK were especially excited about his victory. For my card, I used one of DigiStamp Boutique's July releases, Tennis Joe.

Whenever I see Andy Murray play, he's always wearing his tennis whites so this was a fast one to color! I had to sneak in a little color, though, so I gave his shorts and tennies a bit of color. :)

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Catered Crop - Summertime
Pile It On - Thinking of you

Have a great day! I'll be back on Friday with a new card and a new challenge from Totally Papercrafts.

Bathtime Bobbi

Hi! I'm just popping in with a cute and cuddly baby card featuring Bathtime Bobbi from DigiStamp Boutique. If you find Bobbi as irresistible as I do, you can find more Bobbis here: June release.

I love this dp from Hobby Lobby! The squares and stitching are already printed on the paper. (I just ran a quick straight stitch around the whole layer with my sewing machine. Poor thing never gets used to except to sew on cards!) Then I used some ultrafine glitter and glossy accents to give his bubbles some dimension.

I'm submitting my card into the following challenges:
Pile It On - Water
Animal Friends - Water
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
No Matter Which Challenges - Anything Goes
Catered Crop - Button Up

Thanks for visiting!

All of A Flutter

Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge from the Totally Papercrafts team - "All of A Flutter". This week we're sponsored by the fab Ladybug Ink. I chose this adorable image of Buttercup the dog with some of her feathered friends. (I admit it felt odd making a Christmas card in July, so I didn't choose a traditional Christmas color scheme!)

Supplies: Buttercup with Bird on Head (Ladybug Ink), Snowfall Collection 6X6 pad (Bo Bunny),
blue cs (Paper and More), kraft cardstock (discontinued - TAC),
large snowflake punch (Martha Stewart), small snowflake punch,
silver snowflake sticker (Jolee) foam snowflake sticker (Michaels),
rhinestones (The Paper studio), ribbon (Michaels), Copics, Icicle Stickles.

Aw, poor Buttercup! I think those birds definitely got the better of her! :) To make her feel better, I'm going to share her with the following challenges:

Color Me Creative - anything goes
Whoopsidaisy challenge - Christmas in July
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Old, New, Borrowed or Blue
A Creative Romance - Ribbon or Twine
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
A Gem of a Challenge - Lots of Layers
That Craft Place - Ribbons and/or Lace
The Ribbon Girl - Add a Bow
Crafty Sentiments - anything goes

If you'd like to win some equally adorable images from Ladybug Ink, be sure to stop by the Totally Papercrafts blog. Check out the rest of the DT cards and leave them a little love if you have time. (You know we all love compliments on our cards!) Then enter an "All of A Flutter" card of your own for a chance at this great prize.
