Totally Papercrafts Challenge #213

Happy Friday! It's been a while since I've been able to participate, so I'm especially excited to bring you a new Totally Papercrafts challenge! This week's challenge is a fun one - Pastel (i.e., use pastel colors in your card). This is a perfect challenge for the upcoming Easter holiday. So for my card, I chose this adorable chick from the DigiStamp Boutique Cute Chicklets - Easter collection.

I just love this little guy!

You remember the drill - hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts challenge blog to check out the rest of the design teams' fab projects, leave them a little papercrafting love and then join us for a chance to win a prize from this week's sponsor - Stamp and Create.

Winter Wonderland

What a difference a week makes! A week ago we were preparing for deadly cold temps thanks to the polar vortex. This week, our weather will be flirting with spring with temps hitting the mid to upper 50's. Over at the Totally Papercrafts challenge blog, however, we're still thinking cold and frosty with our "Winter Wonderland" challenge theme. We are sponsored this week by Sassy Studio Designs.

I was short on time this week, so rather than stamping an image, I cut this section from a 12X12 piece of patterned cardstock. I embellished it with some ultrafine glitter, a ribbon and a stamped sentiment. Quick and easy!

Supplies: Winter Wonderland "At Home" (MME), brown cs, ribbon (Michaels),
sentiment cube stamp (unknown), ultrafine glitter, Sakura glue pen

I'm entering my wintery creation on the following challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Cold & Frosty
Color Me Creative - Anything Goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Card Makin' Mamas - Anything Goes

Now, hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts challenge blog to check out the other girls' "Winter Wonderland" creations. Then join us for a chance to win 4 digis from our sponsor, Sassy Studio Design.

Ho Ho Holidays!

Wow, how'd it get to be Friday already? It's amazing how quickly that week passes by with a holiday right in the middle of it! Did you go any Black Friday shopping today? I did not. Instead, I spent the morning continuing to clean and reorganize my craft room. I'm planning on reaping the benefits of a tidy crafting space this afternoon!

It's fitting that today's challenge at Totally Papercrafts is Ho Ho Holidays. With Christmas less than one week away, it's best to get hopping on those holiday cards! We're sponsored this week by the always adorable DigiStamp Boutique. I used one of the November releases, Christmas Windows. Isn't it pretty?

Here's a close up, so you can see the sparkle from the microfine glitter that I used on the snow along the windowpanes, as well as on the star garland.

Head on over to see the other festive holiday projects from the rest of the Totally Papercrafts team. Then get going on your own holiday cards and projects! If you play along with this week's challenge, you could win a great prize from DigiStamp Boutique!

Button It Up!

Welcome to a brand new Totally Papercrafts challenge! This week the team's challenge is "Button It Up" - use a button (or a few!) to jazz up your papercrafting project. Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Kenny K. I chose this fashionable Phoebe image from Kenny K's shop. She reminded me a bit of the singer Pink, so I gave her some pink tips to her hair.

Supplies: Phoebe (Kenny K), grey cs (DCWV matt stack),
floral dp (Basic Grey), buttons, Copic markers.

For my layout, I used an old Sketch from Taylored Expressions.

Be sure to stop by the Totally Papercrafts blog and see what other buttoned up projects the girls have made this week. Then play along for a chance to win some great digis from Kenny K!

A Humorous Challenge

Friday, oh Friday, I am so glad you are finally here! For a four day week, this one sure has felt every bit as long as a five day week! I could really use a little humor right now, so it was the perfect timing for this week's new Totally Papercrafts challenge - Bring Humour to Your Creations.

One of our sponsors this week is Bugaboo Stamps. I was thrilled to find this funny Ruby Chocolate image. Chocolate is my favorite food group - it makes everything better! :) And speaking of candy, check out my post below for your chance to win some Halloween blog candy from yours truly!

Supplies: Ruby Chocolate (Bugaboo), dp - Vintage Bliss 6X6 pad (Simple Stories),
kraft cardstock, clips (Paper Studio), vintage seam binding
and Copics.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Catch the Bug - photo inspiration (I work in a school so the school supplies made me think of work and how crazy the start of the school year is. It definitely requires some chocolate!)

Head on over to the Totally Papercrafts challenge blog to see the rest of the girls' cards and have a chuckle or two. Make a funny card of your own for a chance to win a prize from one of our two great sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps and Alota Rubber Stamps!

Tags and Hearts

Happy Friday!! This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is a fun one - Tags and Hearts. Ours sponsor this week are Stamp Fairy and The Ribbon Girl, so I've chosen this adorable Stamp Fairy pup, Hugo, for my project:

Isn't he soooo sweet? I just love all of the Hugo images. Join us at Totally Papercrafts this week for a chance to win a prize from one of our two great sponsors. I'm off now to check out the rest of the team's projects. Be sure to stop by and leave them love!

All of A Flutter

Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge from the Totally Papercrafts team - "All of A Flutter". This week we're sponsored by the fab Ladybug Ink. I chose this adorable image of Buttercup the dog with some of her feathered friends. (I admit it felt odd making a Christmas card in July, so I didn't choose a traditional Christmas color scheme!)

Supplies: Buttercup with Bird on Head (Ladybug Ink), Snowfall Collection 6X6 pad (Bo Bunny),
blue cs (Paper and More), kraft cardstock (discontinued - TAC),
large snowflake punch (Martha Stewart), small snowflake punch,
silver snowflake sticker (Jolee) foam snowflake sticker (Michaels),
rhinestones (The Paper studio), ribbon (Michaels), Copics, Icicle Stickles.

Aw, poor Buttercup! I think those birds definitely got the better of her! :) To make her feel better, I'm going to share her with the following challenges:

Color Me Creative - anything goes
Whoopsidaisy challenge - Christmas in July
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Old, New, Borrowed or Blue
A Creative Romance - Ribbon or Twine
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
A Gem of a Challenge - Lots of Layers
That Craft Place - Ribbons and/or Lace
The Ribbon Girl - Add a Bow
Crafty Sentiments - anything goes

If you'd like to win some equally adorable images from Ladybug Ink, be sure to stop by the Totally Papercrafts blog. Check out the rest of the DT cards and leave them a little love if you have time. (You know we all love compliments on our cards!) Then enter an "All of A Flutter" card of your own for a chance at this great prize.

A couple of challenge cards

It's a double challenge Friday for me! Time for another always anything goes challenge from Sister Act Card challenge, where we are being sponsored by Ink & Whimsy. It's also my week to post in the current challenge on Totally Papercrafts, sponsored by Saturated Canary. This week's challenge is Bride and Groom.

First up, is my Totally Papercrafts challenge card.

I actually bought this stamp (Lovely) to participate in a recent Saturated Canary challenge. I never got around to finishing coloring her and making a card. I thought she made the perfect bride.

Here's a closeup of her face as well as a good view of her sparkling gown. (I used a Sakura glue pen and some ultrafine glitter.)

For my Sister Act Card Challenge, I used this fun Simply Betty stamp along with a sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday challenge blog.

Well, there are two fun challenges for you! Be sure to visit Totally Papercrafts and Sister Act Card Challenge to leave some sweet comments for my fellow DT members. Then join in on the fun for a chance to win a prize from our great sponsors!

Anything Goes!

Man, this has been a rough week! It's a good thing it was only a four day workweek, because I'm not sure I would've survived a fifth day. :) Fortunately for me, both Totally Papercrafts and Sister Act Card Challenge were having "anything goes" challenges (SACC is always anything goes) - very easy to play along even with a crazy, hectic week.

SACC is sponsored this week by the wonderful Wings and Willows. I chose this adorable image, Fox Pup, for my card.

Supplies: Fox Pup (Wings and Willows), Gathering 6X6 pad (Authentique),
Labels One die (Nestabilities), butterflies punch (Martha Stewart), Burnt Umber ink (Palette),
Copics, Fiskars border punch., and antique brass brads.

I just love this Authentique paper! I've had it for a long time. (I've been sort of hoarding it). I'm so glad I finally used it - it was perfect for the fox's fur color. And, coincidentally, the current Anything Goes challenge on Simon Says Stamp is featuring Authentique products! So far this is the only Authentique paper I own, but I can see myself buying more. My layout is based last week's sketch from the Flutterby Wednesday challenge.

I'm also entering my card into this month's "Anything Goes with Earthtones" challenge on the Oozak blog.

So, with two easy-peasy Anything Goes challenges, be sure to visit both the Totally Papercrafts and Sister Act Card Challenge for details on how to play along. You could win a great prize from SACC's sponsor, Wings and Willows or from one of Totally Papercrafts' TWO sponsors, J&C Creations and Doodle Dragon Studios. While you're there, check out the other DT members' cards and leave them a little love. I know they would appreciate some kind comments!

What a Diva!

File this one under "better late than never"...  Welcome to my post for this week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge. (If you're looking for my Sister Act Carc Challenge post, please keep scrolling.) This week's TPC challenge is to use a diva. Luckily, this week we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K who has tons of fabulous digital diva images! For my card I picked one of my favorite divas, Queens Cutie. (Being a transplanted Jersey girl with family ties to Queens, NY, this image has sentimental ties for me.)

Supplies: Queens Cutie (Kenny K), Urban Prairie paper pad (Basic Grey),
sentiment (DigiStamp Boutique), Dew Drops, scallop border punch (Fiskars),
ribbon (Michaels), black cs and Copic markers.

Like any good diva she deserves a little extra attention, so I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Pile It On Challenges - For A Teen
Loves Rubber Stamps - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
By the Cute and Girly - Flowers
Mad for Markers - One for the girls
One Crazy Stamper - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
CMC Copic Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Totally Papercrafts blog and leave some love for the rest of the DT. Then join us for a chance to win some awesome digis from Kenny K!

Totally Papercrafts - Don't Be a Square

Note: This is my second post of the morning. Please scroll down below to see the Sister Act Card Challenge.

Eek! This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge was a real challenge for me - Don't be a Square. One of our sponsors this week is Doodle Pantry. I chose this adorable bunny stamp to work with and, luckily, it lent itself to a circle card. (The bunny comes as a set with both hay and grass underneath the bunny. I chose the hay one and extended the hay with some Copics and a black gel pen so that it filled the entire bottom half of the circle.)

Supplies: Bunny Wabbit (Doodle Pantry), heart dp (Basic Grey), ribbon (Ribbon Carousel), Copics, cs from stash.

Hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to see what the other ladies have been up to and to join in to win a prize from one of our TWO great sponsors - Doodle Pantry and Stamp and Create.

Totally Papercrafts #163

TGIF! This has been a long week and I am *so* glad that it is Friday! I'm also glad to be bringing you a fun Totally Papercrafts challenge this week - Monochromatic. We are being sponsored this week by DigiStamp Boutique. I chose these lovely poppies from the Sketchy Flowers set.

Supplies: Sketchy Flowers (DSB), For Mum digi paper (DSB), diamond dp (Creative Memories),
ribbon (Michaels), pearls (Recollections), silver cs,
Aqua Lagoon pearlescent cs (Paper and More) and Copics.

I did include a few bits of accent color (yellow flower centers and a silver mat behind the flowers), but everything else is done in shades of aqua. The floral dp is actually a sort of "happy accident". It's from the "For Mum" digi-paper set and is supposed to be green. However, my color ink is low and it came out this lovely aqua blue instead.

I'm submitting my card into the following challenges:
Shelly's Images - April Showers Bring May FLOWERS
Rhedd and Rosies - Monochrome
Creative Moments - Spring (I'm assuming flowers count as a spring image)
Nutcrafters - Anything Goes

Hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog and check out the other DT monochromatic cards. Be sure to play along for a chance to win some digis from our fantastic sponsor, DigiStamp Boutique!

Easter Extravaganza!

Wow, Easter is early this year! With snow still in our forecast (again/still?), I doubt the Easter bunny will be hiding any eggs outside. :)

This week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge is Easter Extravaganza - use an egg as a featured design element in your card. We are sponsored this week by the fab J and C Creations and Saturated Canary. For my card, I chose this adorable Murray image from Saturated Canary. I just love her little chick friend and my Easter eggs are right there in her design.

Supplies: Murray (Saturated Canary), zigzag dp (Paper Studio), border punch (MS),
flower punch, yellow brad, pink vintage silk binding (Ribbon Carousel),
Copic markers, blue chalk and homemade cloud template.

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Easter Parade
Createalicious Challenges - Lovely Easter
Simon Say Stamp - Easter/Spring
Celebrate the Occasion - Happy Easter!
ABC Challenges - J for Just as You Like (aka Anything Goes)

If you haven't visited already, stop on by the Totally Papercrafts challenge blog to see how the other DT member featured an Easter egg in their Easter Extravaganza cards. Then play along with us to win a prize from one of our two great sponsors!

Punch It!

Guess who's hosting this week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge? Yep - me! Our theme this week is "Punch It!". Just use a punch and/or die on your card or other papercrafting project. How easy is that?

This week we're being sponsored by a former Sweet Sketch Wednesday teamie of mine, Teri, who has her own line of digital stamps - Delicious Doodles. For my card I chose this fantastic Snow Cuddles image. I'm saving this as my youngest daughter's Christmas card for next Christmas. I know she will just love this image!

Supplies: Snow Cuddles (Delicious Doodles), Copic markers, blue cs (DCWV),
snowflake border punch (MS), large snowflake punch (MS), small snowflake
punch (unknown), blue dp from Citrus Stack (DCWV), ribbon (Michaels),
snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug), ultrafine glitter, rhinestones.

I used both a border punch and various individual punches on my card. The tiniest snowflake is actually a punch out created by the border punch.

I'm entering my card into the current Creative Card Crew ribbon challenge. Coincidentally, they're sponsored this week by Delicious Doodles. :)

Visit the Totally Papercrafts blog and be sure to leave my talented team mates some feedback on their lovely sample cards. And then join in for your chance to win 4 digital stamps of your choice from Teri's shop, Delicious Doodles.

Hope for Spring!

The theme of this week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge is "Hope for Spring". Let me tell you that right now I am REALLY hoping for spring. This was the view out my window on Thursday. :sigh:

This week we are sponsored by J&C Creations and Crafty Sentiments. For my card, I chose this adorable Crafty Sentiments digi stamp, Lilly with Flowers.

Supplies: Lilly with Flowers (Crafty Sentiments), Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6X6 pad (My Minds Eye), pink cs (DCWV pastel stack), ribbon, Copics. Prima flowers, brads, leaf die (Memory Box).

I am also entering this sweet girl into the current CMC Copic Challenge - Girly Time!

Hope your weather is better than mine! But regardless of the weather, be sure to visit the Totally Papercrafts blog, leave the DT some love on their wonderful cards and join us in this week's challenge!

Be Mine, Valentine!

Happy Friday! Have you started making Valentines yet? If not, here's a good incentive to get going! This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is "Valentines or Love".  We are sponsored by Squigglefly, who kindly provided us with some adorable Valentines/Love related images. For my card, I chose this adorable image entitled "Oh Please Be Mine!".

This image is so detailed with lots of shading, so it was easy to get this painted look with less Copic markers than you would expect. I kept my card simple to put the emphasis on these two sweeties.

Come join us this week and make a Valentine or love related card or other paper project! You could win your choice of digis (like this one!) from Squigglefly! And, of course, don't forget to stop by Totally Papercrafts to see the other ladies' great samples!

Welcome to another Totally Papercrafts challenge! Our hostess this weekend, Sue, has chosen the theme of "Let's Dance". Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo Stamps and J&C Creations. Bugaboo generously offered us some images to use on our cards and I chose this cutie, JJ Tequila and Shoes - Birthday.

Welcome to the New Year!

The new year of challenges, that is! This year we're doing things a little differently at Totally Papercrafts. We've split up the design team into two teams (Teams A and B - how clever of us!) to give our members a little more time between challenges. And we've sponsored two sponsors for almost every challenge this year. Yay! That means two chances every week for participants to win a cool prize from one of our wonderful sponsors! :)

It's my turn to host this week. I chose a ribbon theme in honor of our sponsor, Ribbon Carousel. Just use ribbon somewhere on your project to play along with our challenge! (Do you like my ribbon? It's actually vintage seam binding that I bought from The Ribbon Carousel.) Our other sponsor this week is the fab DigiStamp Boutique and I chose one of DSB's adorable teddies from the Louie Love Set.

Supplies: Louie Love Set (DSB), ivory vintage seam binding (Ribbon Carousel), red swirl dp (K&Co), pink heart dp (Bo Bunny), pewter heart brads (Oriental Trading), Copics, kraft cs, charcoal pencil and blender.

I experimented with a new shading technique that I saw on the There She Goes blog: Shading with Pastel Chalk Pencils. I definitely need to practice it some more, but I like how much depth it added to my image.

Santa Scene

Guess who's hosting the Totally Papercrafts challenge this week? Yep - yours truly. :) I decided to make this one of my favorite kinds of challenges - a sketch challenge! Figuring out my layout is always the hardest part for me, so I love having a sketch already in hand so I can concentrate on the fun stuff - coloring and picking out papers and embellishments! Here's this week's sketch:

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous DigiStamp Boutique. For my card, I am using one of the brand new December releases - Cute Santa Scene.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
Do You Stack Up? - Christmas
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Winter
Charizma Cards - Christmas Makes
Craft Us Crazy - Christmas/Winter

I had a lot of fun with these little characters. After coloring them with my Copics, I added some Glossy Accents on Rudolph's nose and the snowman's carrot nose, as well as adding some microfine glitter on the ground. I layered an additional snowman onto some pop-dots to give him some dimension. (If you look carefully, you can see a bit of a shadow to the left of the snowman.)

So, now that you've seen the sketch and my sample card, head on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to check out the rest of the team's cards. Then play along for a chance to win some cute images of your own (like this one!) from DigiStamp Boutique!
