The challenge this week at The Corrosive Challenge blog was CAS - Clean and Simple!
For my image, I used the adorable "Spike with Flower" - part of the May release from DigiStamp Boutique. I found this Imaginesce paper at my local Michael's and thought it was just perfect!
Wow, it's hard to believe that it's almost June already! Don't forget to come back Tuesday for a peek at the latest release from DigiStamp Boutique!

Yay!
At least that's what my kids would say since it's almost the end of the school year here. I'm too busy getting ready to finish up the school year to be quite as excited! ;-) To celebrate the end of the school year, I thought I'd make a card using the very "cheer-full" Cheerleader Holly from DigiStamp Boutique.
She certainly looks very happy doesn't she? :)
Isn't the greeting just perfect? It's from the 3 Step Hunny Bunny set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Now here is a sad story - I coveted this set for *years* (literally). I stalked KSS's Blue Plate Special sales. About a year ago, "my" stamp set finally went on sale so I bought it. Here's the sad part - this is the first time I've inked up a single stamp in the set! And it was a greeting not, even an image! The even sadder part was that I didn't notice until I sat down to add the sentiment that it said "Hip Hop Hooray", not "Hip Hip Hooray"! (I was wondering why a bunny set had the sentiment "Hip Hip Hooray" lol!). Well, a snip or two of the scissors and I had the short & sweet "Hip Hooray!" :) BTW, lesson learned - don't try to make a card without my reading glasses on! LOL!

How to Train Your Dragon
We finally got to the theater today to see "How to Train Your Dragon". I took my 11 year old, Ali, and two of her friends. It was a lot of fun and I love the theater inspired to dust off this cute "Whiff of Joy" dragon stamp. This week's sketch at Card Positioning Systems was just perfect! I didn't have any Viking-inspired paper (go figure!) so I used some colors that were prevalent in the movie (in particular, Astrid's dragon in the final scenes).
I used my Heidi Swapp distress tool and some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in "Tea Dyed" to give my image an aged look.

The Duke
It's been a while, but here's our latest foster dog, Duke:
Here's a "profile" picture:
And here he is, pooped out from his walk:
Poor Duke has kennel cough. Wish him a speedy recovery! Hopefully since they put him on meds and got him out of the shelter right away, he won't get too sick. He's not coughing too badly now and he doesn't seem like he feels badly.

Another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge
This week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge was to make something other than a card. I really need to get working on craft show items again, so I decided to make a bookmark for my challenge project. It was so much fun, I made a bunch more! :)
Here's my Kraftin' Kimmie bookmark which uses Posy, one of the adorable Moonlight Whispers stamps:
Isn't she sweet? I used my Copics to color her. Other supplies include: Plum Pudding cs (PTI), purple dp (Penny Lane, My Minds' Eye), Scarlet cs (TAC), Martha Stewart border punch.
After this one, I just kept going! This pair uses Alfie (probably my favorite image of all time from DigiStamp Boutique) and Autumn Anya (TGF). Of all the bookmarks I made, the Anya one is my favorite. I will make some more of that one, perhaps with different papers/color scheme.
Here's one last pair. I love this little dog from TiddlyInks. When I make something for a craft show, I try to offer it in a variety of styles to suit different buyers/gift recipients. I thought this would be a cute little gift for a little girl. The other one is simpler and aimed at more grown up tastes. I really like the sentiment stamp from TAC. It reads "Simply put you make the world better."
I forgot to photograph the backs of my bookmark, but each one has a piece of cardstock cut 1/8" smaller glued to the back. It hides where I've attached the ribbon to the back (which I attach with a piece of super stick "red tape") and makes the bookmark sturdier. The bookmarks are approximately 2 3/4" by 5 3/4". Try making one (or a bunch!) yourself. They are a lot of fun and make good gifts for just about anyone!

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop!
Welcome to the first ever Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past blog hop!
When I heard Taylor was offering stampers a chance to participate in her first ever Blast from the Past blog hop, I knew I wanted to participate! We were given a fun sketch to use if we chose to. I thought the circle in the center was the perfect way to accent my cute little Cuppie stamp!

CPS #166
Oh boy, this card is WAY out of my comfort zone. There isn't a single colored in image on it! In fact, there isn't a single image on it at all! (It's also my attempt shabby chic - a style I admire but I haven't quite mastered.) It's based on this sketch, Sketch #166 from the Card Positioning System blog:
Supplies: kraft cs (TAC), Labels One Nestabilities (Spellbinder), ribbon (Bags & Bows), sentiment (TAC), button (The Paper Studio), flower die (Cuttlebug), Tea Dyed Distress Ink (Ranger), pink cs and vintage dp from scrap stash, pop-dots.

I Scream, You Scream....
We all scream for ice cream! This week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge is inspired by the colors of Neopolitan ice cream - pink, chocolate and vanilla. I always picture "Emelia" wearing a brown leather bomber jacket, so I knew she was the image I wanted to use.
Supplies: Emelia (Kraftin' Kimmie), greeting (TAC), dp (SU!), flourish die (QuicKutz), corner punch
(SU!), Prima and Making Memories flowers, antique copper brad, Copic markers, pop-dots, ivory and brown cs.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Welcome back to another Sweet Sketch Wednesday! This week's sketch is sponsored by Pixie Dust Studio.
I used one of the "It's a Girl Thing" images - "Let's Play Dress Up". The pink cardstock is "Hibiscus Burst" from PTI. The other papers are from my scrap stash. The ribbon is from Michaels as is this fun heart embellishment. They were on clearance. I got a 4 pack of hearts for 50 cents! I would've bought more if they had them.
After checking out the other DT cards on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog, be sure to play along for your chance at two digital images of your choice!

Martha & Marvin
Don't Martha and Marvin make the cutest couple? :)
This card is a lot brighter than my usual, but it was a lot of fun to put together. I've had this Anna Griffin dp for forever. It wasn't until I started playing around with the two prints that I realized my PTI Plum Pudding cardstock matched the purple in the floral pattern. The purple flower is a Prima, but the blue one is a new find from Michael's. My Mike's is now carrying packs of 12 assorted flowers by Recollections (white plus two shades of one color) for only 99 cents. I'm not even sure where I got the smiley face button from, but it reminded me of the grins on Martha and Marvin's faces. Lastly, the card layout is based on Sketch 21 over at SplitCoast Stampers.

Tiddly Inks Blog Hop
Hi! Welcome to the first ever Tiddly Inks blog hop! I fell in love with Christy Croll's cute designs over at Stamping Bella. When I found out she also had a digital line, I was hooked, and when I found out she was hosting a blog hop, well, I just had to join in! All of the participants had to use one of the "Bugg girl" images. I chose the Happy Bugg image for my card:
You can buy this cute little Bugg on her own or as part of the Happy Day Set. Here's a close up so you can see the glitter and the 3-D layering I added to the card:
