Button It Up!

Welcome to a brand new Totally Papercrafts challenge! This week the team's challenge is "Button It Up" - use a button (or a few!) to jazz up your papercrafting project. Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Kenny K. I chose this fashionable Phoebe image from Kenny K's shop. She reminded me a bit of the singer Pink, so I gave her some pink tips to her hair.

Supplies: Phoebe (Kenny K), grey cs (DCWV matt stack),
floral dp (Basic Grey), buttons, Copic markers.

For my layout, I used an old Sketch from Taylored Expressions.

Be sure to stop by the Totally Papercrafts blog and see what other buttoned up projects the girls have made this week. Then play along for a chance to win some great digis from Kenny K!

Girly!

Today's card is a combination of girly challenges.

Supplies: Jasmine (Kenny K), Fine and Dandy Girl 6X6 pad (MME), border punch (MS),
Fancy Blossoms and Tender Leaves dies (Memory Box), pearls and Copic markers.

The original inspiration behind this card was the current Kenny K's Krafty Krew challenge - Lace and Pearls (the lace is my lacey border and the pearls are the pearl centers on my flowers). The color was inspired by the Spring Fever challenge on the Cute Card Thursday blog. Some people may associate spring with soft pastels, but at this point in the year, I am tired of brown grass and white snow - I want to see lots of color! I was so excited to spot some bright green daffodils poking up through my flower beds this week.

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Dies to Die For - Flower Power
4 Crafty Chicks - Die for Dies
The Play Date Cafe - color challenge (hollyhock, spring bud, azure)

I'll see soon with the Totally Papercrafts challenge!

Tied up with a Bow

Whew! This Kenny K image is sweet - but smokin'!

Supplies: "Bow" digital stamp (Kenny K), cream seam binding (Ribbon Carousel),
Copic markers, light pink rhinestones (J and C Creations), heart punches (CM and Paper Shaper),
paper piercer (Making Memories), and assorted paper from my scrap stash.

I am submitting my card into the following challenges:
Delightful Inspiration -sketch
Bearly Mine Challenges - Hearts Galore
J and C Creations - Something Old and Something New (old=pink rhinestones, new=Kenny K image)
Colour Q Challenges - pink/primrose/raspberry/espresso/vanilla
Paper Crafting Journey - For a Girl
Charisma Cardz - Pink and Brown
Cute Card Thursday - A Different Corner
Milk Coffee Challenge - Valentines

Pink and brown is my favorite color combo, so I had a ton of fun making this card! Hope you find time to do something fun and crafty this weekend, too!

Totally Papercrafts challenge with Kenny K

Hi! Welcome to another Totally Papercrafts challenge! This week our theme is Christmas and our sponsor is the fun & funky Kenny K. Kenny & Elena graciously let the DT have some Kenny K images to use, so I chose the spunky Mistletoe:

I apologize if this photo isn't the best. My DH is in Colorado on a business trip and I (being the good wife I am, lol!) let him take our camera with him on his trip. So I'm stuck using the cheapie camera that I bought my (then) 12 year old for Christmas. I'll try to replace it with a better photo Sunday night.

It's hard to see in the photo, but I added white fun flock to the fur on her Santa suit and used some red Candy Cane Stickles on the mistletoe berries. (Yes, I realize now that mistletoe berries are white and holly berries are red. Oops! lol)

Be sure to visit the other DT cards at Totally Papercrafts. Then break out your Christmas stamps and join us in this week's fun challenge! You know you need to get started on those holiday cards soon....  :)
