Sketch Saturday

Hi! I'm back with another card based on a sketch. (I just love sketches!) This one is based on the current sketch on the Sketch Saturday challenge blog.

Supplies: Anya (The Greeting Farm), dp (MME), black dp (The Paper Studio), 

Copic markers, ribbon (Hobby Lobby), scallop border punch (Fiskars), 

corner rounder (Creative Memories) and antiqued metal brads.

Easy Easel Card

Note: This is the second post of the day. Please scroll down to see my Sister Act Card Challenge post.

Eva of the Yumi and Fumi DT recently shared a tutorial for making a Post-It easel card as part of the current CASE challenge. I often have trouble with 3D projects, but I'd successfully made a regular easel card before so I decided to give it a try.

Supplies: Miss Anya Lounge (TGF), Fine and Dandy Girl 6X6 pad (MME),

butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), Copic markers, Tiffany Blue cardstock (Paper and More),

scallop border punch (Fiskars), rhinestones and ribbon.

It was really easy to make and came out perfectly on the first try! I love that! :)

Pearls and Lace

Oh Cathy, head mistress of Totally Papercrafts, you are killing me with this week's challenge - Pearls and Lace! ;-) I'm strictly a blue jean & sweatshirt kind of gal - frilly stuff is not my thing. But, in the name of being a good DT member (LOL!), here is my card:

I must admit that I do like this Martha Stewart lacy border punch, though, and it was a good excuse to actually use some of the pearls I've somehow managed to collect. :)

I wanted to combine this week's challenge with a few other challenges, so I chose the colors to go with the BV color challenge on the iCopic blog (I used BV00, BV02 and BV04). And I chose a Miss Anya stamp because this week's Farm Fresh Challenge also called for lace. I'm also submitting this card into the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes" challenge (you can find the Anya stamps in their shop), Cute Card Thursday's "You're a Gem!" challenge and into My Mums' Craft Shop's "Flowers" challenge. (I didn't add any flowers to my card, but there are flowers on the DP.) My layout is based on an old sketch (#114) from the Card Patterns blog. (I love their sketches.)

Welcome back!

After a holiday break, I'm back with the new challenge from Totally Papercrafts. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge:

I'll admit I'm not usually a big fan of the criss-cross in the middle type of sketch but I did have fun with this one. I bought this Miss Anya Lounge set ages ago and haven't used it, but I thought one of the Anyas would be just perfect for this card. This week's Totally Papercrafts sponsor is the awesome Simon Says Stamp, which carries this and other stamps by The Greeting Farm as well as the Bo Bunny Snowfall paper that I used.

Cool Mojo!

I managed to get two more challenge cards done this weekend - Yay me! :)

The first card is a combination of TGF's FFF color challenge and this Mojo Monday's Sketch 177.

Supplies: Anya (The Greeting Farm), Raspberry Fizz cs (PTI), Mediterranean Summer dp (TCP Studio), scalloped square die (Nestabilities), ribbon (Michaels), sentiment (TAC), brown dp (CM), Copics, pearls (Recollections) and flower (Prima).

Next up, this card combines the sketch from CPS205 and the Cool Color challenge (#43) from Copic Creations:

Supplies: Teddy with Flowers (LOTV), ribbon (Michaels), Copics, digital sentiment stamp (DSB), scallop punch (CM) and papers from my stash.

Wow, two cards and four challenges - not bad for a Sunday. :)

Anya Doubletake

I actually managed to combine 2 different TGF challenges into one card - a sketch challenge from their TGF blog and a color challenge from their Club Anya blog.

Here are the sketch and the color inspiration:

I combined them to make this card:

I had A LOT of fun making this card. I just love this Autumn Anya and she was just the right proportion for the card. Using coordinating papers from Fancy Pants Design made the card easy to put together. I used my Copics to color her in (of course!) and embellished the card with 2 Prima flowers, a Basic Grey button, some green Scrappers' Floss, 3 antique brass brads and a corner accent made with my SU! corner punch. I've been in sort of an inking mood lately, so I inked all the layers with Palette Burnt Umber ink, my favorite brown ink.

After making 2 black and red cards recently, it was nice to use a more colorful palette this time, even if the colors are muted ones. Of course, my FAVE color (pink) will be back on my blog for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. Here's a sneak peak of my card, made with the adorable Poppy from DigiStamp Boutique:

Relay Race!

I've been participating in the daily CHA relay race over on The Greeting Farm's Splendid Stamping blog. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up, but it's been fun so far. Here are my first two cards.


I admit, I struggled a bit with an image of a male mermaid, even if it he is as handsome as Ian. (I guess he'd be a merMAN, huh?) Charlotte was a bit easier.

I'm back!

Yay! DH has our computer back up and running. I still don't have everything reloaded (I miss my Photo Shop Elements!) but I can at least crop photos and post them on my blog, and read my emails, so I'm happy. :)

This card is actually for several challenges. 1) The Copic Color Challenge - I used BV00 Mauve Shadow on Anya's shirt. 2) The Roses on Paper Challenge blog - I used flowers and an Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm, and I combined at least one other challenge with this one. 3) The sketch from the Friday Sketchers blog.

It feels good to be back. :-)

Don't Fall Off Your Chairs....

I actually have a new card to post tonight!! I'm sorry it's been so long. I'm still fighting this wretched sinus infection and I've just been so-o-o-o tired. I'm about to cry "uncle" and call the doctor again. I miss stamping!


Well, enough whining from me. ;-) On a totally unrelated note, I just watched "Doubt" tonight. Fascinating movie! Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Seymour Hoffman were all really good.
