A Wishful Wednesday with Wings

OK, Mother Nature,  I get it. You are good at making snow. Really, really, really good at making snow. However, I'm tired of it. I want warmth! I want flowers! I want spring!

Well, according to Punxsantawny Phil, spring will make its debut in six weeks. (Personally, I just think he was scared to tell us we might be stuck with 6 more weeks of this. Someone might've turned him into Punxsutawney stew!) In the meantime, I need a little spring so here goes:

Isn't she a cutie? She's one of the girls from the set "Oh No She Didn't!". I just love that set. :) The papers are from the "A Little Whimsy" stack - another favorite of mine. Other supplies: Palette Noir ink, Black & White Ribbon (TAC), greeting (retired-TAC), Copics, flower, button (Lemonade embellishment jar), pink scrap.

A Couple of Cute & Krafty Challenges!

Well, if there's one silver lining in being snowbound, it's having time to participate in card challenges! :)

First up is a card that does double duty - the kraft paper is part of the Spotted Chick's Krafty Thursday challenge and the kraft/vanilla/navy colorscheme is part of the Catered Crop Challenge FTR4.

Supplies: Eddie from the Woodland Pals collection (DSB), daisy border punch (Martha Stewart), Kraft and Ivory cardstock (TAC), Sparkle Travel Floral Dots dp (Cloud 9 Design), tan plaid dp (Daisy D's), navy cs (from my scrap stash) Copics and ribbon.

This next card is my interpretation of Cute Card Thursday Challenge 149 sketch. This week's sponsor was Kraftin' Kimmie and, although using a KK stamp was not required, it was the perfect excuse to use my adorable Lisette stamp for the first time!

New DSB Cuties!

First, a little announcement for any scrapbook-paper-designers who may be lurking out there because apparently they need this info... There are female dogs. There are female humans that own dogs. There are even female humans who own female dogs. Stop making all of your doggie patterned paper in brown and blue! Is it too much to ask for some pretty, girly, dog-themed paper? Apparently, it is! :sigh:

That's the view outside my craft room as of 5 PM today. We are in the midst of a blizzard, soon to be followed by sub-zero temps. I am not a happy person! Although at least being stuck inside gives me a lot of time to stamp. ;-)

The Third Time's the Charm?

Drum roll please.... Post #3 for today! Woo-hoo! (Check here for my Magnolia card and here for my DSB card.)

This card is for the January sketch on Jen del Muro's i{heart}2stamp blog, part of her SFYTT (Sketch For You To Try) monthly challenge.  The sponsor was The Cat's Pajamas and although we didn't have to use their stamps, I am a TCP fan and was happy to use some TCP stamps on my card.

I just love those little TCP penguins! They always look like they're having such a good time!

Magnolia Recipe Challenge

Wow, two posts in one day! (Scroll down to see my weekly DigiStamp Boutique card.) It's been a while since I participated in a challenge, so I decided to play along with this recipe challenge from the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.

The recipe called for 4 flowers, 3 different patterned papers, 2 Magnolia stamps and 1 ribbon. I paired this adorable Tilda with the Magnolia bench. (I love that stamp - it looks so cute with all the sitting Tildas & Edwards!)  Although the green paper looks solid it actually has a very subtle floral pattern on it. The green and paisley papers are both from the Tiffany stack by We R Memory Keepers. Other supplies: pink swirl dp (Paper Studio), flowers (Prima), ribbon (Michaels), leaf punch (MS), copper brads, pop-dots and Copic markers.

DSB Birthday Greetings

Today's DSB card features the adorable Shelly from the Murtle and Shelly collection.

A Promise Kept

When I cleaned out my craft room recently, I found myself hesitating over a flower punch that I'd bought but never used much. I decided to keep it, but made a promise to myself that I would use it soon. Thus the inspiration for today's card. Not only did I use that poor forgotten punch, all the paper is from my scrap stash and the flower rick rack is from an old PWCO PaperCard Kit.

Supplies: Picnic Fun plaid paper (A Walk in the Park Collection, Echo Park), buttons (Paper Studio), ribbon (Michaels), sentiment (retired-TAC), Noir Palette Ink (TAC), leaf punch (Emagination) and assorted cardstock scraps.
