Not a Creature Was Stirring...

... not even Santa!  I know how poor Santa feels these days. The end of the school year is always like this! I work at a high school and I have kids in school, so I get hit on both ends. Yawn! At least school is over on Friday... just in time for summer school preparations to start Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. Ugh!

Well, the reason I am choosing to make a Christmas card just when summer is finally here is that the very talented Rick St Denis is our sponsor this week at Sister Act Card Challenge and I just couldn't resist working with this image, Santa Nap Time:

Super Dan!

Happy Wednesday! Boy, am I ever glad it is hump day! This has been a l-o-n-g week. Here to the rescue, though is Super Dad Alf, a super digistamp from DigiStamp Boutique!

I actually made this card for one of my bosses, whose name is Dan so the SD (Super Dad) emblazoned on his chest worked out well. I'm just glad his name wasn't Mike or John! ;-)

Have a great day!

What a Diva!

File this one under "better late than never"...  Welcome to my post for this week's Totally Papercrafts Challenge. (If you're looking for my Sister Act Carc Challenge post, please keep scrolling.) This week's TPC challenge is to use a diva. Luckily, this week we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K who has tons of fabulous digital diva images! For my card I picked one of my favorite divas, Queens Cutie. (Being a transplanted Jersey girl with family ties to Queens, NY, this image has sentimental ties for me.)

Supplies: Queens Cutie (Kenny K), Urban Prairie paper pad (Basic Grey),
sentiment (DigiStamp Boutique), Dew Drops, scallop border punch (Fiskars),
ribbon (Michaels), black cs and Copic markers.

Like any good diva she deserves a little extra attention, so I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
Pile It On Challenges - For A Teen
Loves Rubber Stamps - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
By the Cute and Girly - Flowers
Mad for Markers - One for the girls
One Crazy Stamper - May Flowers (flowers on my dp)
CMC Copic Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Totally Papercrafts blog and leave some love for the rest of the DT. Then join us for a chance to win some awesome digis from Kenny K!

Spring Graduates

May and June are the months for graduations! I was so glad that Sally-Ann released a set of graduation themed images and paper over at DigiStamp Boutique. I decided to use the hat image and the graduation digi paper to make my card for this week's anything goes challenge on Sister Act Card Challenge:

I used purple and gold because those are the school colors of our high school. I love this digi paper! It made the card super quick to make!

Be sure to join us at Sister Act Card Challenge this week. You could win a $5 gift certificate from our sponsor, Digital Designs by Louby Lou.

Designed to Color

I'm back with my big announcement... I am now part of the Rainbow Crew on the Designed To Color Challenge Team! If you're not familiar with Designed to Color, it was home to great tutorials, an online magazine, a monthly challenge, etc. DTC has recently undergone some changes, dropping the online magazine and adding a second challenge per month (e.g., there are now bimonthly challenges). The new challenge called for a second challenge team and voila! here I am. :)

Our very first Rainbow Crew challenge is sponsored by the adorable Meljen's Designs. The theme is a color challenge, based on the palette below (you only need to include 3 of the colors):

I actually included most of the colors in the palette:

Cake - Y21, E31, E33, E35, E37, YG03, YG11
Mouse: W1, W3, W5, R20, R22, 100
Candles - Y21, YR16, Y11, YG03, YG11, BG000, BG01

Plate - E41, E42
Image: Birthday Cake Mouse (MelJen Designs)
Card Stock (for image): General Pacific
Elements: Bazzill cardstock in Kachina, Recollections papers - Lavender Lines, Aqua Screen, Teal Butterflies, ribbon, green cardstock, yellow glitter, rhinestone flowers

I'm also entering my card into the Anything Goes challenges at Make It Monday and CMC Copic Challenge.

Head on over to the Designed To Color blog to check out the details for the current challenge and see the rest of the team's awesome projects! Play along with us for a chance to win FOUR images of your choice from the Meljen's Designs shop!

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

This week's Tiddly Inks challenge was an unusual one - Inspiration from a Movie or Book. This cute little Wryn image made me think of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. (Only in this version, things work out a lot happier for "Goldi" and her friends.)

Supplies: Wryn Thank You Beary Much (Tiddly Inks), ivory cs (DCWV),
kraft cs (TAC), Copics, dp from stash, ivory vintage seam binding (Ribbon Carousel),
button, Lime Twist pink bakers' twine (MME) and pop-dots.

The card came together pretty quickly using this fun sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge:

I'm also entering my card into this week's Anything Goes challenge at the CMC Copic Challenge blog.

I'll be back later this week with a big announcement. Stay tuned!
