Valentines

Here are some Valentines based on sketches from the recent Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. This one uses a retired set, "Just A Note", from the Angel Company.

These cute little mice are from Greeting Farm stamps.

I wasn't going to buy the Fiskars Threading Water punch because I really wanted a plain scallop one. However, I really needed a scallop edge punch for this challenge and this one was available and in my price range. I'm really happy now that I bought it.

New TAC stamp set samples

Here are two card samples using stamps from the new magalog:

This one also features paper (patterned and solid CS) from the Cha Cha Collection. (Thanks for the correction Heather! I'm so bad with names.) I love the bright colors!

More sample cards to come!

Pocket Full of Love

This is a card that I made for this months' Angel Company demonstrator contest "Pocket Full of Love".

Here's the inside card:

This is the back side of the card:

Here's a closeup of the Angel. I used glitter to embellish her dress. I applied it with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. It's the best glue pen I've ever used. Applies glue in very finely and the tip never clogs up. I love it!

This is a "template" for the pocket I designed from a half sheet of 8.5 X 11 paper. It's scored at 4" and 8" and along the side at 1/2". The glue is applied on the skinny "tabs" along the right and bottom sides.

After it was assembled, I used a circle punch to cut out the half circle at the top of the pocket. This makes it easier to pull out the card inside.

Supplies: Matchmaker Pink #3 cardstock, TAC Scarlet cardstock, TAC Premium White Cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, ultrafine glitter, CM circle punch, small heart punch. Palette ink in Noir, Moulin Rouge and Belle Rose. Stamps from TAC: Floral Favorites, Love & Laughter, Just Dream and Swirly Gigs.

Cool New Project

I first saw this project in the December issue of Craft Stamper magazine, which is a terrific stamping magazine from the U.K. (You can find it at Barnes & Noble.) This book is used to hold/organize cards.

For the cover, I used Robin #3 cardstock, stamped the trees with Versmark and brushed them with aqua and brown shimmer chalks, then lightly stippled Cote D'Azure and Burnt Umber Palette ink. The tree is from the TAC stamp set, Love and Laughter, and is stamped in Burnt Umber on TAC Ivory cardstock, matted with TAC's brown cardstock. Below is a sample of the inside pocket pages. I used TAC's Amberly Grace paper to decorate the inside pages. (They're all different but I didn't think you'd want to see all of them.)

Here's an "aerial view":

This would make a wonderful gift filled with a few handmade cards and a book of stamps. I'm planning on offering a class on this project later this year. Contact me if you're in mid-MO and would be interested in attending.

More Gingersnaps Snowbunnies

I still can't believe I have my *February* cards done for the monthly Christmas Card Challenge over on Splitcoast. I had SO much fun coloring in these images with my new Copics. I think I'm finally done with looking at red & green for a while, though! ;-)

It's Coming...

TAC's first edition "magalog" (think "magazine sized catalog") will soon be here! I just received my demonstrator copy in the mail yesterday:

There's a lot of variety in this mini catalog - everything from elegant to cute. Here's a sneak peek at a few pages:

More Valentines Cuties

Another card made with "Kissieface" from Stamping Bella:

This was my submission to the February Homepage Contest on the Bellaholics list. I just love any excuse to make a pink card. :-)

Speaking of romantic love, here's a cute song I heard tonight:

It's called "Myspace Girl" by "The Afters". It's sweet. :-)

More Cards for a Cause

Jen (of I Heart To Stamp) is having an AWESOME blog candy contest over on her blog:
Blog Tart Goodness

I had a lot of fun making a cheery birthday card for some little girl. (I don't think too many boys would appreciate my very PINK card! lol.) I just got this adorable stamp from RubberNecker. I love those little mice!

Spread a little love...

Karyn (aka Froglady) is offering a chance at some great blog candy. All you have to do in exchange is stamp at least one card to help brighten an older person's day. (Now, wouldn't you want someone to do that for you when you're older?) Here are my cards that I'm sending to her:

Check out Karyn's blog for details.

Pink Cat Studio Contest entry

I ran across this contest over at Pink Cat Studio while bloghopping the other day. I *love* this little fairy! I had a lot of fun making this card. I got to use my new Copic markers (Yay!) and I got to use lots of my favorite color - PINK! :-)

A SpecTACular Deal!

I've decided to participate in the Split Coast Stampers Christmas Card Challenge again this year. It really motivates me to get those cards done! Here's my January card:

I really went all out on the layers, etc. This card helped me make a big dent in my stash of scraps and Christmas paper!
I really love this Santa. Isn't he the cutest? He's part of the set "Tis The Season". This set and almost ALL of The Angel Company's stamp sets are on sale HALF PRICE now through January 26th. For details, see the promotion page. (Prices on my website reflect the sale price.)
