More SOA cards

Here are two more cards that I made during the Stampin' Out Alzheimers fundraising event:

These were both entries for sketch challenges sponsored by Taylored Expressions (hence the cupcakes!). For the top card, I used a small flower punch and large brads to make the flower embellishments. Aren't they fun? :)

Fly Free

Yes, it's another challenge card that I made last weekend for Stampin' Out Alzheimers. It wasn't a sketch challenge, so I actually came up with this card layout by myself! :-) The challenge, sponsored by Papermakeup Stamps, was to use a winged image. I don't have any PMS stamps yet (mine are on order), so I used this cute LeAnn Ellis stamp that I'd bought from FunkyKits a while ago. It was nice to finally make a card with this image!

It's a pretty simple layout but it's probably my favorite card that I made last weekend. (And, no Diana, not just because it is PINK, lol!) I really like simpler, more basic card layouts. They're easier to work with (easier on the eye, I think) and it's more fun to find embellishments to jazz it up.

Another SOA card

Here's a card I made for another one of the Stampin' Out Alzheimers sketch challenges.

The original stamp was a long line of purses on a shelf. I inked up just the center of the image and cut the image into a circle with my CM Shape System cutter. I paper pieced the purses and then paper pieced a third purse to make the pyramid.

One last SOA challenge card!

Well, I'm disappointed that I won't be able to get a card done for the button challenge, but here's my final challenge card for the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's fundraiser. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely participate in something like this again. Here's my card for the "I've Got the Blues" challenge, which required the use of blue and brown Copic markers. I also submitted for the May sketch challenge on the Magnolialicious site.

You can't see it in the photo, but the printed paper is glittered. To add interest in the little strips of paper on either side of the card (sketch elements), I used my Glue Pad to stamp swirls (TAC) which I then sprinkled with ultra fine glitter. I also used my new Labels 1 Nestabilities for the first time. I really love that shape!

Stampin' Mania!

This weekend, I've tried to participate in as many of the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's challenges as I can. I won't get them all done, but I'm having fun getting as many finished as possible! Here's my latest card for one of the sketch challenges:

I used one of the adorable Anya images from The Greeting Farm. I love her basket of tulips. So sweet!

Stampin' Out Alzheimers- Two by Two!

Have you checked out the Stampin' Out Alzheimers pay to play site yet? If not, it's not too late to get in on the challenges, giveaways, freebies and discounts. Here's my card for the Two By Two challenge, sponsored by Taylored Expressions.

We could only use brown, pink and one other neutral and two embellishments (mine are the ribbon and the photo corners). I used another one of those adorable Kiki Kitty stamps from Pink Cat Studios.
