TGIF!

The first full week of school is over and, boy, am I glad! Ali's school doesn't have air conditioning, so they had to close early the last 3 days which in turn meant 6 AM volleyball practice. Ugh! This non-morning person did not appreciate having to get up at 5 AM! :)

So, I am celebrating the end of a less than cheery week with some bright and cheery colors - this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is Zesty Summer Colors (like lime, orange, etc.). I used two different MME 6X6 pads to come up with this deep pink/orange/lime/aqua color scheme:

Isn't little Rosie adorable? She's available from our sponsor this week: DigiStamp Boutique. I used this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems to design my card.

So, kick off your shoes, relax with Rosie and me, and have some fun crafting! Check out the other  Totally Papercrafts  dt cards and enter your card for a chance to win some great digital stamps of your choice from  DigiStamp Boutique!

Totally Papercrafts - All Buttoned Up

Happy Friday! (Boy, am I happy that it is Friday!!) This week's Totally Papercrafts challenge is "All Buttoned Up". Just use a button or more on your card or project and you can enter to win a cool prize from our sponsor, The Ribbon Girl.

For my card, I used this adorable Rosie digi from DigiStamp Boutique. Rosie is a fairly new character and she's my favorite DSB little girl. This birthday Rosie is from the March Rosie Collection I. If you like her, you can find more Rosies in the April release, Funtime Rosie.

Supplies: dp - Lime Twist "Life of the Party" 6X6 pad (My Minds Eye), pink seam binding (Ribbon Carousel), button, Copics, pop-dots.

Head on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog to check out the other DT cards. Be sure to play along for a chance at the prize from our sponsor, The Ribbon Girl.

Happy Friday!

Rosie

Isn't she cute? Rosie is a digital stamp that I just purchased from Grab-A-Doodle-Do. What a perfect excuse to use my new Basic Grey Bittersweet paper (love it!) and one of the new "Nursery Collection" Prima roses that I bought today. (I've been seeing similar roses on other cards and was so happy to find some locally!)

For the card, I used this sketch from the DareU2DigiStamp blog. My color inspiration came from two challenges with some similar colors. This week's CopicsColorChallenge was to use some combination of red (Crimson), brown (Light Walnut) and green (Moss) Copic markers. I didn't have any of those exact colors, so I substituted a combination of Sepia/Sand for Light Walnut and Lime for Moss. CuteCardThursday's challenge was to use pink and brown. Now *that* is easy since that's my favorite color combination! :)
